Question:
Why do I need a website?
Answer: We are in the information
age. We want up-to-date information and we want it yesterday.
A website offers you a way to provide company information, product
and service offerings, real-time communications, sell products
online, provide multi-media presentations, and the list goes on.
People are going online by the hundreds daily. You can instantly
become an international business and be available to your customers
24 hours. There is a reason to have a web presence for every type
of business in existence. We can show you the benefits a website
would give you.

Question:
What kind of sites do you design?

Question:
What does it cost to have a website?
Answer: There are many factor
that determine the cost of a website. Smaller sites can cost in
the range of $300 - $500 for a 5-10 page static site. Larger sites
can well exceed $2000 depending on the functionality desired.
Extensive custom graphics and programming significantly increase
costs. Keep in mind that your web presence is a reflection of
your company image. Place as high a value on your website as you
do any other form of advertising. We can work with any size budget
and deliver a high-quality site at any cost.

Question:
Are there ongoing costs?
Answer: Not necessarily. There
are many free hosting sites available and if the site we construct
is merely for informational purposes not requiring frequent updates,
there may only be the initial cost of your site. What brings back
visitors is a site that is updated periodically. Our advice is
to plan on occasional updating to keep your site fresh with new
content. We can also provide special pages that allow you to perform
updates yourself to keep ongoing costs minimal.

Question:
How long does it take to complete a website?
Answer: Smaller sites can
be completed within 1 to 2 weeks upon signing of a written agreement.
Larger sites vary according to complexity. Once the initial design
is in place, you will be able to access a temporary location for
review and we will make adjustments before going "live"
with the website. More detail on this is answered in the next
question.

Question:
What are the steps involved in making a website?
Answer: We have a process
of 4 steps in our designs.
1. Assessment - Listening to your objectives and goals for the
project.
2. Design - Constructing a working model of your website.
3. Adjustment and Testing - Placing a temporary location of your
site for review and make any changes necessary.
4. Implementation - Securing your domain and hosting, search engine
submission and incorporating the website in your other advertising

Question:
What if I have an existing website?
Answer: Bravo for you! The
fact that you have a website shows you already see the necessity
of having an online presence. If you are not satisfied with your
present developer or website, we can provide you with what you
are looking for. Whether it's updates or complete redesign, we

Question:
What is the internet and how does it work?
Answer: In a nutshell, the
internet is a massive group of computers that connect into a giant
world-wide network. When you connect to your internet service
provider, you, also, become a part of that network and that is
how you can view websites, read news, send and receive email,
etc. Websites are files located on a special computer known as
a web server, or host server. Other types of servers include mail
servers, news servers, web application servers, database servers
and so forth. If this is TMI (too much information), not to worry.
We understand it so you don't have to! You can rest assured that
we will keep things as simple as possible, but answer any questions
you might have about the unknown mysteries of the internet.

Question:
What is a domain name?
Answer: A domain name is similar
to a street address. It is how your visitors find you. When you
have a website on the internet, it's true location is found as
an IP (internet protocol) address. However, it is easier to find
a website by www.mywebsite.com than 208.12.35.105. The domain
name is obtained through a domain registrar (like my.ws) and points
to the IP address of the web server. The other benefit is that
you can change website hosts without changing your domain name.
It remains the same as long as you renew your registration.

Question:
How do people find my website?
Answer: People find website
a number of different ways. At one time, search engines were the
primary source of visitors. Today, it's not only search engines,
but banners, email and inclusion of all your other advertising
media. We will assist you in all your online marketing efforts.

Question:
Do I have to be in the same area as you?
Answer: Absolutely not! The
internet is global and so are we. This also means that your company
is global with a website as it is not limited to your immediate
area. This far excels the old business adage "location, location,
location". We love the internet because you are never out
of touch with your contacts.

Question:
What is "e-Commerce" and how does it work?
Answer: The true meaning of
e-Commerce is having a website that displays your products or
services and provides a way to securely perform money transactions
for immediate sales. There has been much publicity on e-Commerce,
with good reason. For example, Amazon.com never had a storefront
from the beginning. All it's sales were conducted over the internet
and now Amazon.com's name is well-known all over the world. You
can put the power of e-Commerce to work for you, too.
